Our vision

Everyone needs care or a caregiver at some point in their life, which can cause real distress. The municipality must provide maximum support when needed, but also focus on prevention. Tervuren is very active and a market leader in care for the elderly (Zoniën residential care centre, day care centre, De Vlonder assisted living facilities, home care). We want to improve the quality of all of these.

Our three priorities

• We are launching a project to explore how we can better involve residents and relatives in the policies and development of their daily lives in the residential care centre and homes with assisted living. In this way, we hope to make things better for them.  We are taking inspiration from the Tubbe model. 
• We remain committed to ensuring sufficient staffing levels at Zoniën Residential Care Centre. This is not just to guarantee the best care, but to make life itself and the experience of it as pleasant as possible. At the same time, the organisation chart needs to be reviewed.
• In the new term of office, we must work on renovating the old wing of the residential care centre to offer a similar comfort and experience as in the new building.
